Tottenham likely to make January bid for long-term target Saido Berahino

Tottenham are likely to make a fresh move for West Brom forward Saido Berahino in January having failed to land the Baggies star over the summer according to The Daily Telegraph.

Mauricio Pochettino remains keen on bringing in striking additions and still wants the 22-year-old marksman, who threatened to go on strike after West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace turned down Tottenham’s advances for the England Under-21 international.

Hawthorns boss Tony Pulis wisely pulled Berahino out of his first-team set-up for a period before welcoming the player back in recent weeks.

Berahino has since netted twice in his last three Premier League starts and appears to have put the troubles of the summer behind him.
