Jurgen Klopp has become an overnight celebrity among Liverpool fans in no small part because of the hope he brings to a club that has just one trophy win in the last eight years. Klopp’s portrayal of himself as just a normal guy with a love for football has also caught the attention of Liverpool’s marketing department, who have turned one of Klopp’s catchphrases into a kit dedicated to the Liverpool boss.
According to the Metro, the Liverpool club shop has started selling “Normal 1” kits in tribute to Klopp’s declaration that he is “The Normal One” of the Premier League – a contrast to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s assertion that he is a “Special One.”

In fact, Liverpool’s official online store has even opened up an official Jurgen Klopp collection with t-shirts quoting the phrase “The Normal One,” along with cartoon-versions of Klopp on t-shirts designed for kids, hats and beer steins.
Given that fans previously tried to encourage Klopp to join the Reds by dressing up with his signature hat, thick-framed glasses, beard and tracksuit, it’s clear that Liverpool were determined to market their new manager and his overwhelming popularity immediately.
