Brazilian midfielder will have an extended run in the side and he played his part in an energetic performance in midfield to help execute Klopp’s tactics.

Emre Can – 6/10

Similar to Lucas in that he played his role well, and was a threat at times offensively which adds another dimension to the Liverpool midfield.

James Milner – 6/10

One of the players that many envisaged would have no problem in fitting in to Klopp’s ideology, and he proved it in the first game.
