With the issues Chelsea are having from top to bottom, oddsmakers are feeling confident that the struggling club will make a massive splash next summer for one of France’s best strikers.
According to the Metro, Chelsea have been given the best odds in Europe to land PSG striker Edinson Cavani at 4-1. The oddsmakers at Betway have placed Chelsea ahead of Juventus (5/1) and Real Madrid (6/1), as well as Premier League’s Man United and Man City (both 6/1), along with Arsenal (7/1).
Chelsea have not been getting the same level of production from last year’s scoring leaders Diego Costa and Eden Hazard and there is a growing belief that Hazard will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Cavani led Paris Saint-Germain in total scoring last year and has recorded at least 30 goals from all competitions in four of his last five seasons.
Arsenal have been viewed as the biggest contenders to land Cavani, with Arsene Wenger reportedly making a last minute trip to Paris and meeting with a long-haired man that some speculated may have been Edinson Cavani.
