Arsene Wenger says ‘world class’ Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is only getting better

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that £42m man Mesut Ozil is finally beginning to live up to his price tag after adding more goals to his game, the Daily Express reports.

Having bagged goals in the victories over Bayern Munich and Manchester United recently, he is finally adding a more all-round threat to his game despite already chalking up six assists this term.

“I believe that I have said many times that a player of his calibre you want him to add to his assists,” Wenger said.

“He looks like he is on the way to doing that as he almost scored in the first half on Tuesday with a right footed shot and scored in the last minute by getting into the box.

“He is a world class player and if he adds goals to his game he will be even more respected.”
