Manchester United have reportedly sent scouts out to Valencia to run the rule over a move for midfielder Sofiane Feghouli, according to the Metro.

The Metro report that the 25-year-old is currently in the final year of his deal at the Mestalla, meaning he will be able to negotiate a free transfer away from the club by signing a pre-contract agreement in the new year.

And according to a report in the Daily Star, United have sent scouts over to Spain to keep an eye on the Algerian international with Louis van Gaal believed to be considering him on a Bosman free transfer.

However, United may have their work cut out for them if they are looking to bring him to Old Trafford as the Metro cite both Inter Milan and Chelsea as holding an interest in his services.

Feghouli joined Valencia from French side Grenoble back in 2010, and barring a short loan spell with Almeria in 2011 he has gone on to make 172 appearances for the club, scoring 27 goals in the process.
