Contrary to the popular belief that Juventus superstar Paul Pogba was prepared to make a move to Barcelona, the French star’s agent put those rumours to bed.
According to the Express, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has flat-out denied any and all recent reports that there was a deal in place for the former Golden Boy to move to Barcelona.
“An agreement with FC Barcelona? Absolutely not,” Raiola told France’s Le10 Sport.
The move comes as a major boost for Chelsea and Manchester United, both of whom were believed to be vying for a shot at the Juventus midfielder this past summer, but ultimately could not swing a deal. The exact transfer fee is unknown but estimates have been all over the map with a possible transfer record-breaking deal still a possibility.
The former Man United wonderkid moved to Juventus in 2012 and has 25 goals in 141 appearances for the club ever since. Pogba is considered one of the best midfielders in the world and has helped lead Juventus to three straight Serie A titles.
