Transfer news: Liverpool striker talks, Man Utd keen on Chelsea star, La Liga giants to shop in Leicester!

Although Sunday October 25 will be best remembered for Harry Kane’s hat-trick against Bournemouth or Jurgen Klopp’s first Premier League home game as Liverpool manager (certainly NOT the snorefest that was the latest Manchester Derby), it was, like any other Sunday, a day which saw a lot of transfer news and gossip published in print and online.

With the January transfer window just over two months from opening, let’s take a look at who is being linked to who and whatnot and soforth.

The craziest rumour of the weekend comes courtesy of the Metro, who have picked up on an outrageous Spanish report that claims Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is wanted by Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, ESPN say Liverpool are keen to land Vardy, who is also being tracked by Tottenham Hotspur, so say the Daily Mirror, who throw a £15m valuation into the mix.

The Daily Star published an exclusive, telling us that Real Madrid and Barcelona are keeping tabs on Eden Hazard amid reports of the Belgian’s bust-up with Jose Mourinho. The report adds that “Manchester United are also likely to monitor Hazard’s situation”.

There’s more from the Daily Star! Apparently Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp thinks he can tame Mario Balotelli and is asking to speak to the on-loan AC Milan striker’s agent with a view to discussing a possible return to Anfield.

One club not yet mentioned is Arsenal. Well, that’s because, according to Jack Wilshere, January recruits are not necessary.
