Premier League trio Southampton, Stoke and Leicester City are all said to be monitoring Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen ahead of a possible move in the January transfer window, according to the Metro.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been given the green light to start the process of moving the Welshman on, as the Daily Star claims that the player does not feature in his long term plans.
Allen was one of previous manager Brendan Rodgers’ first signings when he took over at the club, but like many of his deals, this hasn’t been a successful one with the 25-year-old failing to maintain a level of consistency during his time at Anfield (via Metro).
The former Swansea man cost Liverpool £15m when he joined back in 2012, but could now be allowed to depart for a cut price fee in the new year (via Metro).
Having made 75 appearances for the club, Allen has found the back of the net only twice (via Star).
