(Video) Jonny Walters WONDERGOAL – Is this the strike that gets Jose Mourinho FIRED from Chelsea?

Jonathan Walters gave Stoke City the lead in their Capital One Cup clash against Chelsea with a magnificent effort from outside the area.

The Birkenhead-born Irish striker, receiving the ball from Glenn Whelan, flicked it off the ground with his right foot before swivelling and hammering it past the hapless Asmir Begovic.

The Serbian stopper had no chance with the strike that crashed in off the underside of the bar before slamming against the ground and speeding up into the roof of the net.

Walters, who has started only five league games for the Potters this season, was clearly delighted with his effort and tore off in delight.

In the Blues dugout, however, Jose Mourinho had a face like thunder.

Following Chelsea’s dismal start to the season and their recent defeat to London rivals West Ham United, there has been intense speculation about the Portuguese coach’s future, with some suggestion that one more defeat would see him dismissed.

Could Walters’s wondergoal be the strike that finally sees Roman Abramovich wield the axe on the underperforming, increasingly unpopular manager?
