Liverpool dealt another injury blow as defender limp out of Bournemouth clash

Liverpool have been dealt a further injury blow as defender Kolo Toure was forced to limp out of the Capital One Cup clash with Bournemouth, the Daily Express reports.

Manager Jurgen Klopp handed the Ivorian a rare start in the centre of the defence, but had to cut it short after just half an hour when he was hauled off (via Express).

The Express claim that an early prognosis has him down with a hamstring problem, collapsing to the ground after playing a routine back pass to goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.

In typical Klopp fashion, he hugged Toure as he left the field to be replaced by Martin Skrtel, and the Anfield crowd responded with a warm round of applause (via Express).

Full-back Nathaniel Clyne gave The Reds an early lead after some good work from Roberto Firmino lead to a chance (via Express).

But the news will come as an unwelcome blow to Liverpool, who are already having to deal with injuries to the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez.
