Manchester United are eyeing a move for Ajax youngster Donny van de Beek, and are reportedly diverting more of their scouting resources to the teenager.

According to the Sunday People [via the Mirror], Louis van Gaal has heard good reports about the 18-year-old midfielder, and is tracking the teenager’s progress.

The Dutch U-19 international currently has four and a half years left on his contract with Ajax Amsterdam, but his immense promise has made him a target for sides in Italy and Spain, as well as United.

Van de Beek featured for the Netherlands youth side at the European U-17 Championship in 2014, helping the Dutch reach the final before they were defeated by an England side containing Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke and Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.
