Derby will be out to continue their strong recent form when they take on inconsistent QPR at the IPRO stadium on Tuesday night.
Derby have been in flying form of late. Paul Clements side are 5th in the table, just three points off top spot. The Rams could go top with a win on Tuesday, depending on results elsewhere.
The club have won four and drawn one of their last five games including a 3-0 win over Rotherham last time out.
Clements will be without the suspended George Thorne for the clash but with Jeff Hendrick and Craig Bryson fit-again, the former Real coach has options.
Thorne collected his 5th yellow against Rotherham but will be available for the trip away to Nottingham Forest.
Tom Ince is once again expected to miss out. The winger is struggling with an ankle injury but is tipped to be fit for the clash with Forest.
QPR meanwhile went down 1-0 to in-form Brentford last time out, Marco Djuricin 56th minute goal separating the two sides. The result was compounded even further as defender Clint Hill suffered a knee cartilage injury and will miss the next month.
Brazilian midfielder Sandro also misses the clash with the Rams after he suffered an ankle injury in training. The former Spurs’ star injury is not serious though and he is expected back against Preston North End this weekend.
Striker Charlie Austin should start after making his comeback from a hamstring injury against the Bees however Jamie Mackie’s once again misses out with a hamstring injury.
QPR lie 12th in the league, five points off the play-off places and nine off the automatic promotion spots. While the gap is not big at this stage, such is their inconsistent form of late they could be out of the promotion picture by Christmas if results don’t improve.
