Arsenal ready to make move for young Chelsea midfield hopeful

Arsenal are said to be preparing a move to sign young Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda with him likely to quit Stamford Bridge in the near future, according to the Metro.

The 19-year-old is billed as one of the brightest stars coming out of the club at the moment, but is struggling to establish himself in Jose Mourinho’s first team plans despite starring for Chelsea’s academy (via Metro).

And now a report in the Daily Mirror claims that Musonda’s lack of first team action has alerted other clubs to his possible availability, with Arsenal believed to be keen on bringing him across London.

The Mirror states that The Gunners are keeping a close watch on the £10million-rated star’s situation, though French giants Monaco are also credited with an interest in snapping him up, too.

Monaco are said to have made a £10million bid for his services over the summer, which was knocked back by The Blues, though they may be more willing to allow him to leave in the January transfer window (via Mirror).
