Liverpool predicted XI vs Rubin Kazan: Benteke back to lead the line in Europa League clash

Posted by

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be looking to build on his side’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea last weekend by carrying on the momentum against Rubin Kazan.

Manager Jurgen Klopp already hinted earlier this week that striker Christian Benteke is likely to be fit to play from the start in Russia, and there may be a cameo role for Roberto Firmino in the process.

Liverpool are currently second in Group B but they only have three points to date and leaders FC Sion have already opened up a four-point lead at the top of the table.

Earning something from this match is the minimum and if they want to top the group, the time is now to make their charge.

See how we think they’ll line up below.

GK: Simon Mignolet

There are rumours that Klopp will look to replace Mignolet in the near future, but for the time being he’s still a stronger option than Adam Bogdan.

RB: Nathaniel Clyne

Cylne will need to put in another double shift this week, and will do so until Jon Flanagan makes his return.

CBs: Martin Skrtel & Mamadou Sakho

Both put in strong performances against Chelsea, so handling Kazan’s forwards should be less of a task.

LB: Albero Moreno

Moreno has increased his performance levels recently, and like Clyne, will have no time for tired legs or a tired mind.
