Raheem Sterling says Man City are a step up from Liverpool

Raheem Sterling has said that the step up in quality from Liverpool to Manchester City has been noticeable, according to the Daily Express.

The England star joined the Citizens over the summer in a $49m deal and has so far settled in by bagging himself six goals in his first 15 appearances (via Express).

And though during his time at Anfield he lined up alongside such world class players like Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard, he has insisted that the quality of players he now lines up alongside at City are superior to those he played with at Liverpool over a five-year spell (via Express).

“There are more experienced players here,” he told Manchester Evening News.

“Obviously, Liverpool had many great players as well but the players here have been at the highest level for many years and you can definitely see that on the training pitch.

“The tempo, the passing, the two-touch movement in training; it’s really surprised me. It’s really sharp, really good to be involved in.”
