Chelsea have confirmed that highly-rated youth product Jacob Maddox has signed his first professional contract with the club, the Metro reports.
Chelsea were made to pay compensation for his signature when they beat a host of other top Premier League sides to snap him up from Bristol City back in 2013 (via Metro).
The 17-year-old has been a regular in the side’s under-18 recently and took to Twitter to confirm that he had put pen-to-paper on his first ever professional deal.

And though the news will be welcomed at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea often struggle to give their academy graduates game time, though Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been making waves in the first team this season.
