Everton slap £45m price tag on Romelu Lukaku to scare off PSG interest

Everton are said to have placed a £45million price tag on striker Romelu Lukaku in a bid to scare off any potential suitors in the summer, the Daily Mail reports.

Having signed the Belgian from Chelsea for £28m in 2014, he has since repaid the club their investment by bagging 44 goals for the club – with 16 coming during a loan spell before signing a permanent deal.

Both Paris Saint Germain and Juventus are believed to be keen on landing his signature, and though he is happy at Everton he will likely review his situation at the conclusion of the current campaign.

The Mail claims that he will likely want Champions League football, which is something that won’t be available at Goodison Park in the short term.

This could put The Toffees at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to the negotiation table as Robert Martinez won’t want to lose his services.
