Manchester United transfer news: Valencia trio to replace injured stars

In the latest piece of Manchester United transfer news, it appears that the Red Devils are looking into signing a talented trio from Spain to fill the void for their injured and struggling stars.

According to the Metro, with Luke Shaw injured and Daley Blind struggling this season, Man United have set their sights on Valencia trio Shkodran Mustafi, Jose Luis Gaya and Andre Gomes.

The Metro reported that Man United sent their scouts to Valencia’s Champions League match against Gent this past week and are increasing their interest in Gaya specifically as a replacement for the injured Shaw.

Mustafi would reportedly serve as a center-back replacement for Blind while Gomes could add an additional scoring threat at the goal-starved midfield.

As always, the Red Devils have not been afraid to splash the cash this past summer, acquiring a pair of talented, veteran midfielders with Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, while adding youth and potential to the forward position with youngster Anthony Martial.
