Arsenal and Liverpool face missing out on exciting Real Madrid forward

Arsenal and Liverpool are facing some serious competition from Italian giants Napoli for the signature of Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez, according to talkSPORT.

Both Premier League sides had been keeping a close eye on the Spaniard’s situation in the capital as he remains on the periphery of the first team, and reportedly open to a move away in the new year.

And now reports in Spain have claimed that Napoli have emerged as frontrunners for his signature after having him scouted during Madrid’s midweek Champions League clash with Paris Saint Germain.

The 22-year-old has started just four games in La Liga so far this season, and though he only managed to get 63 minutes under his belt against PSG, Napoli scouts are said to have remained impressed.

And it is now being reported that Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is ready to make Jese his number one transfer priority ahead of the January transfer window.
