South American forwards WANTS Liverpool switch

Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi has revealed that he would be open to a switch to Liverpool.

While the Reds are going string under Jurgen Klopp, and are yet to lose a match, the German coach has not yet had the opportunity to remodel his new squad.

Christian Benteke has struggled for fitness so far this season, while Danny Ings has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign after picking up an injury.

Icardi—who is unhappy with his lot with Roberto Mancini’s side—has been tipped for the departure lounge with Inter, and Liverpool has been mooted as a potential destination.

According to Fichajes, Icardi, who has scored 39 goals in 80 games for Inter, has revealed that he is open to a move to Anfield.

However, despite is troubles, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would be willing to meet Inter’s expected asking price, and whether Mancini would be willing to offload his skipper.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Alex Pato, although Icardi is both younger and has a better fitness record than his fellow South American frontman.
