Ronaldo Manchester United: What will it take?

Le Parisien journalist Dominique Severac has revealed what it will take for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to move away from the Bernabeu.

Money!

The Portuguese forward has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital in recent weeks, with Paris Saint-Germain keen to sign the attacker as a replacement for ageing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and United desperate to bring their former hero back to his beloved Old Trafford.

However, both clubs will have to offer Ronaldo a hefty wage in order to attract him, according to Severac.

“With an equal salary, I think that he stays at Madrid,” said the respected journalist, as per Le 10 Sport. “The aim when we leave is to increase the salary. It’s one of the reasons that could motivate him to leave.”

However, Guillem Balague, speaking to Sky Sports, has intimated that Ronaldo may yet be swayed to make an emotional choice and opt to return to United, who could perhaps not match the near-unlimited spending power of PSG.

“In my eyes, PSG want him, and his dream of returning to Manchester United is guided by his heart,” he continued. “I’m not sure that that would be the case with his head.”

Rumours have been swirling that Ronaldo will be heading to PSG next summer after the striker was seen speaking fondly to coach Laurent Blanc after the Champions League bout between the two last Tuesday.

Ronaldo has been at Real since 2009 and won the European Cup with Los Merengues in 2014.
