Juventus targeting Premier League striker with six goals in 12 games

Juventus are interested in Southampton striker Graziano Pelle following his goalscoring exploits in the Premier League so far this season.

The Italy international bagged 16 goals for Ronald Koeman’s side last term—his first season in England—and has maintained his form so far this season with six goals in 12 Premier League games to date.

Pelle’s efforts in the EPL have helped the Saints overcome a mixed start to the campaign to move up to seventh in the table, having won five and drawn five of their 12 games to date.

Such is the Saints’ improvement, that they find themselves only four points off the Champions League places ahead of the international break.

Pelle is also a regular in Antonio Conte’s Italy side, and scored in recent victories over Norway and Malta.

The 30-year-old’s form has seen him catch the eye of Massimiliano Allegri, according to the Mirror, with the Juve coach reportedly seeing Pelle as a solution to his own side’s failings.

The Old Lady—Italy’s reigning champions—endured a disastrous start to the Serie A campaign, winning only two of their first eight matches.

While they have turned things around in recent fixtures—winning three of their last four—they remain seventh in the top flight, a considerable nine points behind leaders Fiorentina.
