Bad news for Liverpool, as Zlatan reveals where he wants to play next

Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks to be coming to the end of the road in Ligue 1, with his contract at Paris Saint-Germain finishing next summer.

The Swedish superstar is PSG’s record all-time goalscorer, and has enjoyed great success in the French capital since moving to the club from AC Milan in 2012.

Over the last three seasons, he has won three Ligue 1 titles, three Trophees des champions, two league cups and the French Cup earlier this year.

However, now 34, the forward appears to be edging towards his sell-by date at the Parc des Princes. Despite scoring an eye-watering nine goals in eight outings so far this season, the former Barcelona forward looks set to be replaced by another high-profile, big-name player at the end of the year, with Cristiano Ronaldo linked with a move to the French capital.

Considering his future, and shedding light on his future plans, Zlatan—who has been linked with Liverpool and Major League Soccer—has revealed that is keen to return to Serie A, the league where he ‘became famous’.

“Serie A is still, for me, the best league in the world,” Ibrahimovic began, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport [as per Le 10 Sport], “because that’s where we don’t think any more about not letting goals in, but rather on scoring them.

“Italy stays in my heart,” he confirmed.
