Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have his heart set on a return to Manchester United and the club’s owners are now working hard on striking a deal to bring him back to Old Trafford, according to the Metro.
The 30-year-old had been heavily linked with a dramatic return to Manchester over the summer, but no deal could be agreed. However, it now appears as though he will leave Real Madrid in the near future as the club can still command a huge fee for his services (via Metro).
Ronaldo has transformed himself into a true world megastar since joining Real in a then world record £80million deal back in 2009, but this season he has not looked his usually self under Rafa Benitez.
And reports in Spain are now suggesting that the Portuguese forward has looked over his options ahead of next summer and has set his heart on rejoining the Red Devils.
In turn, United’s owners, the Glazer family, are now working on a deal to create the finances to fund the move.
