As one of the most dynamic scoring threats in club football, Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez has more than enough teams lining up for his transfer. But Arsenal fans could be in for a nerve-wracking January with their bitter rivals up north plotting to grab him.
According to Spanish gossip site Don Balon, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes that the Chilean superstar could be the ‘cornerstone’ of the team. The Old Trafford boss’s comments could indicate Sanchez’s position atop his winter shopping list. The team has the money to afford both Sanchez’stransfer and his salary demands.
Sanchez has recorded double-digit goals in each of his last five seasons between Arsenal, Barcelona and Udinese. He has at least 20 total goals in each of his last two seasons.
This year however, Sanchez is scoring at a slightly slower rate. Outside of a hat-trick against a porous Leicester City defense, Sanchez has four goals in 16 other appearances for Arsenal since the start of the 2015-16 season.
