Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez and will go up against Manchester United for his signature, according to the Metro.
The 22-year-old has been one of Newcastle’s better performers this season despite a less than impressive start to their league campaign, and Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that The Gunners will go up against both Man United and Tottenham to land his services.
And though United have been strongly linked over the past few weeks, it is believed that the two London clubs could put together a more attractive offer to prize him away from St. James’ Park in the new year.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could be tempted into signing a new striker in January, as an injuries to both Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck has left him with just Olivier Giroud leading the line.
