Chelsea are said to be keeping an eye on Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez ahead of a possible move for him during the January transfer window, according to the Metro.
The 24-year-old has been one of the standout stars in the Premier League so far this season, scoring an impressive seven goals and collecting four assists in Leicester’s meteoric rise up the table under Claudio Ranieri (via Metro).
And now a report in footmercato365 is claiming that the Blues are looking into the possibility of bringing the Algerian international on board in a bid to ignite their damp squib of a title defence.
However, The Metro also highlights that both Manchester United and Arsenal have beth previously expressed an interest in snapping the Foxes star up.
Mahrez joined Leicester from French minnows Le Havre in the summer of 2014 and has gone on to make 60 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals.
