According to reports, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

Speaking to Radio CRC [as per the Mirror], the player’s agent confirmed that the Gunners have sent scouts to check out the Brazilian midfielder’s qualities.

“One of the head scouts at Arsenal is well known,” the player’s representative began, “and so I know he was at Marassi for the Napoli match.”

The agent went on to confirm that Gunners could well succeed with a move if they make an adequate bid for the player during the upcoming transfer window.

“If Napoli receive an irrefutable offer for Jorginho in January then it’s normal that we’d make our assessments,” he concluded.

The 23-year-old is understood to carry a price tag of £22 million, and may well represent a valuable addition for the Gunners in a key area of the pitch.

Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move for both William Carvalho and Victor Wanyama in recent times, although they won’t be re-signing Oguzhan Ozyakup from Besiktas, with the Turkish midfielder confirming that he is keen to remain with the Turkish giants.
