CRAZY STATS! Alexis Sanchez has worst ball-control in the league, will it cost Arsenal the title?

With six goals this season – tied for fifth in the Premier League – Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is on pace for another sensational season. However a recent look at his possession skills indicate that the Chilean scoring machine has a serious flaw in his game – one that could come back to bite the Gunners if it isn’t fixed.

According to stats from Oulala.com, Sanchez leads the Premier League in number of times dispossessed from the ball – a whopping 41 times, more than second-place Romelu Lukaku (35) and third-place finishers Harry Kane, Memphis Depay and Graziano Pelle (32 each).

In addition, Oulala found that Sanchez has been responsible for 28 unsuccessful touches, which would rank him fifth highest in that undesirable category behind Sadio Mane, Diego Costa, Sakho and Rondon.

Arsenal currently rank second on the Premier League table but have finished no better than third in each of the last ten seasons. But with Chelsea toiling in the middle of the table while Man United and Liverpool rebuilding, the 2015-16 season may be their best chance to win the title since they won it all in the 2003-04 season.

For that to happen though, the team needs to limit mistakes as much as physically possible and will likely need Alexis Sanchez to lead in that regard.
