Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is set to give Arsene Wenger a big reason to be cheerful by signing a new contract with the club, according to the Daily Mirror.
Sanchez and his agent have reportedly agreed a new five-year deal with The Gunners, that will see him stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2020, and will earn himself a whopping £40million in the process (via Mirror).
The Chilean international joined the club in a £33m deal from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, and initially penned a four-year deal (via Mirror) with the report also claiming that his good form during that time had attracted recent interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Mirror states that his current £130,000-per-week wage will rise to £150,000 and will be loaded with a number of incentives.
And furthermore, Arsenal will follow that up by offering a new deal to fellow playmaker Mesut Ozil, as the club move to tie down their key players to new contracts now.
