Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have reportedly eyed a deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann as Arjen Robben edges ever closer to joining Manchester United, the Metro reports.
The German champions have targeted a move for the France international, who is also on Chelsea’s radar ahead of the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been in fantastic form for the Spaniards so far this season, and Bayern believe him to be the ideal replacement for the veteran Dutchman, according to a report in Spanish publication Fichajes.
The 31-year-old has supposedly agreed a January move to Man United and is keen on a reunion with Louis van Gaal.
Van Gaal has been vocal about his desire to add more pace and creativity in wide areas after addressing a number of deficiencies in his squad.
