Manchester United can count themselves luck to be top of the table right now. Having taken an early lead over Watford they very nearly threw a valuable three points away thanks to a clumsy penalty.
But it’s often said that for a team to win a title, they often need a generous helping of good fortune, and United got theirs when Bastian Schweinstieger’s late pull back was bundled in by striker Troy Deeney.
United fans no doubt had their hearts in their mouths towards the end, and below is how they reacted upon the final whistle.

If this United side is top of the table what does it say about the Premier League?

That's all I want. To be excited every so often. The football doesn't have to be amazing.
