The father of Paulino de la Fuente has confirmed that Arsenal and Liverpool are among the teams that are keen on his son.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder currently features for Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan, and he has been earmarked as one of the most exciting talents in the Italian game.

Paulino’s current contract runs out next summer, and unless Inter can tie him down to a new deal, they risk losing him for nothing when his current deal ends.

According to the player’s father, a whole host of big clubs are keen on signing the starlet.

“Remaining at Inter is his priority. We are still living in Spain although we visit him in Milan five or six times a year and we always watch Inter’s Primavera’s games from here,” he began, as per Calciomercato.

“We know that Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are interested, but we’ll talk to Inter in the next few weeks before deciding what to do with Paulino’s future.”

The teenager was born in Santander and is an attacking midfielder who enjoys operating behind the striker, and who boasts a lethal left foot.

Liverpool fans will hope that Paulino could become half the talent of Philippe Coutinho, the last attacking midfielder they signed from Inter. While the Brazilian has taken his time to get going in England, he has emerged as one of the stars of the Reds side under Jurgen Klopp.
