If Arsenal are forced out of the Champions League, they have no intentions of going away without the final word. But thanks to the sensational trio of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud, the Gunners might have put themselves in a position to clinch a spot in the knockout round.

The first half hour of the rematch between Arsenal and Dinamo Zagreb from their earlier Champions League loss started similarly to their September bout – a slow Arsenal start with plenty of mistakes.
But instead of surrendering an early goal, Arsenal finally managed to break through and get the big scores thanks to Mesut Ozil, who finally broke the scoreless draw in the 30th minute.
Just as they had in so many Premier League matches, Alexis Sanchez & Olivier Giroud fed off Ozil’s energy and turned on the juice, and just minutes later Sanchez would double their lead with this stunning goal to head to halftime up 2-0.
At halftime Arsenal only needed to finish the job in order to retain some control over their Champions League destiny. And in the second half, they final did it.
The hero of the hour turned out to be the seldom-used Joel Campbell, who made a breathtaking assist to Alexis to seal the 3-0 win.
And with that, Arsenal need only to record a convincing win over Olympiacos in the final matchday to make their triumphant return to the Champions League.
