Highly-rated Arsenal target Daniele Rugani is said to be ready to hand in a transfer request at Juventus in a bid to restart his career, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the young defender recently, having been frozen out of the Juventus side so far this term despite impressing on loan with fellow Serie A side Empoli last season.
And the report claims that the 21-year-old will now try to force a move away from the Italian champions in time for the January transfer window in order to seek more first team football and continue his development.
The news will likely put Arsene Wenger’s men on red alert as they look to add more quality to their ranks in the new year.
The Italian under-21 international is currently valued at £14.1million, and is highly regarded as one of the best young centre-backs emerging in world football right now.
