Zlatan transfer: PSG star gives hope to Premier League powerhouse

Posted by

The Zlatan transfer rumors have persisted for months, and at one point this past summer there was a belief that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger was making a special trip to Paris to try and seal a deal for the PSG scoring machine. Though nothing ever materialized, Zlatan is not ready to rule out a move to the Premier League giants.

In a recent interview with CNN, Zlatan was asked about recent reports connecting him to a move to Emirates Stadium, to which he replied that he is expecting “a lot of talks” about his future between now and the European Championships.

“I think there is a lot of talk from today until the European (Championships),” he said regarding Arsenal transfer rumors.

“There will be a lot of talks.”

Zlatan revealed that he had three prior opportunities to join the Premier League, once with Arsenal and twice with Manchester City. He has won league titles at each of his last six clubs since making a transfer to Ajax from Malmo back in 2001.

As for his current stint with Paris Saint-Germain, his contract expires this coming summer and a variety of potential destinations have emerged, from Arsenal to AC Milan to Major League Soccer expansion teams.
