Season saver! Stunning stat shows why Chelsea should bring back loan star in January

A stunning new stat has emerged on Twitter that would suggest Chelsea may do well to look into the possibility of bringing young midfielder Lewis Baker back from his loan spell with Vitesse in the new year.

The Blues have looked turgid and devoid of creativity for much of the campaign, but got their campaign back on track last weekend thanks to a 1-0 victory over basement boys Norwich City.

However, for all their star names, there is one academy graduate that is putting them all to shame.

Lewis Baker, who is yet to make a single appearance for the Chelsea first team, is currently on loan with Dutch feeder club Vitesse Arnhem, where he is vastly outperforming his more expensive counterparts.

The 20-year-old is incredibly good with both feet and looks ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

And as the stat below shows, there looks to be a very good reason for Jose Mourinho to bring him back early in the new year.
