Man United starlet departs due to work permit issues

Young Manchester United goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has been forced to leave the club after failing to obtain a work permit, the Daily Express reports.

The Serbian under-20 World Cup winner penned a five-year deal with the Red Devils back in 2014 from FK Vojvodina, but was sent back to the club on loan for the remainder of the 2014/15 season.

He again reiterated his desire to find a new club to join on loan back in August, but failed to find any interested parties.

However, his deal with United has now been terminated and he has gone on to join Polish side Lechia Gdansk.

Milinkovic-Savic said: “The case dragged on, unfortunately. I couldn’t find a club where I could be loaned to.

“I decided to terminate the contract with Manchester United.

“I am glad that I was able to come to an agreement with Lechia.”
