According to reports, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is considering a summer move to Chelsea, and could sign a contract with Jose Mourinho’s side in January.

The 34-year-old frontman’s current deal at Paris Saint-Germain comes to an end next summer, and as such, he can agree terms with prospective suitors at the beginning of 2016.

That club could well be Chelsea, according to ESPN Deportes, with the source reporting that Mourinho is keen to sign the Swedish superstar.

The Pensioners are struggling miserably in the Premier League so far this season.

After 14 matches, the reigning champions have won only four games—losing seven—and have already amassed 15 points from their top flight games to date.

Following the weekend’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur, the Blues sit 14th in the table, only five points clear of the relegation zone and a whopping 14 points behind leaders Manchester City.

The Portuguese coach also axed frontman Diego Costa for the recent match against Spurs, and may see the veteran Ibrahimovic as a potential replacement for the Spain striker.

Mourinho and Zlatan worked together at Inter Milan, and the Portuguese coach may be confident of coaxing the hitman to England despite the player confirming during the summer that he would like to play in Major League Soccer before he retires [MLSSoccer.com].
