Juventus secured a 2-0 win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday night as Paulo Dybala scored a superb goal to make the result safe.
The 22-year-old struggled to secure his place in the first team at the beginning of the campaign, but his overall form and ability to score goals has seen him become an integral part of Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
That was on display again against the Biancocelesti and his individual brilliance saw him double his side’s lead, as his control and finish was too much for Federico Marchetti to stop.
His second goal came after he had played an instrumental role in the opener as his drilled effort was turned into his own net by Santiago Gentiletti as the hosts continued their poor run of form.
While Lazio boss Stefano Pioli will face difficult questions in the coming days, it was a fifth straight win for Allegri’s men which has now moved them to within four points of Serie A leaders Napoli who face Bologna on Sunday morning.
Given their poor start to the campaign, Juventus will be delighted with the way in which they have turned their season around as they will now continue to try and cut down the gap between themselves and the leaders prior to the winter break.
