Ex-Manchester United wonderkid desperate for England return after Serie A misery

Former Manchester United wonderkid Ravel Morrison is reportedly desperate for a return back to England as he looks to end his miserable stay in Italy.

The midfielder only moved to Serie A during the summer when he signed for Lazio, but already—only six months into his three-year contract—he’s understood to be keen on returning to the Premier League [Mirror].

The 22-year-old has wholly failed to settle in Italy, and while the bad boy has largely avoided the controversy that characterised his time in England, he has failed to star on the pitch.

The playmaker, who previously featured for West Ham United, has managed just 135 minutes for Lazio and has started just one match—in the Europa League.

He hasn’t impressed under-pressure coach Stefano Pioli, but the manager is understood to not be willing to allow the player to leave for nothing—a conviction which may prevent some suitors from moving for the troubled starlet.

However, the situation may change should Pioli—who oversaw a fifth defeat in six when Lazio lost to Juventus at home on Friday evening—be relieved of his duties.

Could a new manager potentially see Morrison as the solution to Lazio’s fading form in the Italian top flight or will Ravel get his wish and secure a return to England?
