There’s a bumper coupon in the Premier League today with no less than eight fixtures to get stuck into as punters are treated to a cracker of a Saturday.
With Arsenal, Man City Chelsea and Manchester United all in action today things could really get tight at the top as we pick out the best bets of the day for you.
Not only that we’ve been beavering away to pick out some decent prices and hopefully bag us some extra cash for Christmas!
Who wants an early Christmas Present?
Paddy Power are going 4/1 on Chelsea to beat Bournemouth at home today. Get on it quick!
In the early kickoff at 12:45 Stoke take on Manchester City in what looks on paper to be a straight forward away win. I for one would not want to put people off by backing Pellegrini’s side but at 4/7 the odds are definitely on the skinny side, and we’re on the look out for a bit of value in the Premier League opener lunchtime.
Mark Hughes side are notoriously difficult to beat at home and defensively they look a solid outfit. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in the Potters last 7 games in the Premier League and with Coral offering 11/10 on a similar result today thats a price we’re eager to take.
Tottenham are on an unbelievably good run of form which now stretches back to 13 games unbeaten but they may have to settle for a draw as they take on West Brom. Tony Pulis has built his side from the back five up and this has seen them secure 6 clean sheets in the Premier League so far this term – one of the best records in the League.
The Baggies also beat Arsenal at the Hawthorns last time out which is why we like the look of West Brom +1 on the handicap at evens.
Manchester United will be looking to continue their fine run of form as they entertain West Ham at Old Trafford, as Louis Van Gaal’s side look for their 13th game unbeaten at home. Despite starting the season in fine fettle, injuries have begun to take hold and their attacking threat has been subdued with Diafra Sakho & Dmitri Payet both missing for the Hammers.
Wayne Rooney will be missing for the Red Devils coming into this match, which may or not be a good thing, but Im expecting another Manchester Utd home win. The 4/9 on offer for the straight win doesn’t fill us with much excitement, instead we fancy Van Gaal’s side to win to nil at 5/4.
If David De Gea and co can keep Manuel Lanzini under control then this bet looks an absolute belter.
It looks a straight forward home on paper in for Arsenal this afternoon as they entertain Sunderland to the Emirates Stadium. On closer inspection though this may not be as easy as expected, with the Gunners side ravaged with injury and some indifferent performances of late.
Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla joined Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere on the injury table this week, and with Theo Walcott still not 100% Arsenal may have trouble breaking down Sunderland. Remember this is now a Sam Allardyce side, and two wins and two clean sheets will have no doubt have raised expectations coming into this game.
‘Parking the Bus’ is a term we could use for Sunderland as they prepare for this match. We still expect Arsenal to win, but the 3/10 on the home win does little for us – instead back Sunderland with a two goal head start at 11/10 to win.
Swansea look to be side short of confidence at the moment and a side like Leicester should be able to take advantage. Garry Monk’s once steadfast defence has creaked and shown frailties in recent weeks – Arsenal smashed three past them at the Liberty, while defeat away at Norwich and 2-2 home draw with Bournemouth will have Swans fans scratching their heads.
An improved performance in their loss at Liverpool will have done little to improve the atmosphere at the South Wales club, and its now only one win their last ten Premier League games. The club also now welcome Jamie Vardy who will be looking for another goal to add to his 11 game scoring streak.
With goals looking surpisingly easy to come by for Claudio Ranieri’s side and a brittle looking Swansea defence, we fancy Leicester to bag a few.
Coral offer 13/10 on Leicester to score two or more goals in the game and we think thats worth taking.
