Euro giants eyeing ex-Chelsea, Liverpool frontman as replacement for Man United flop

Fenerbahce are considering a move for Fernando Torres as a potential replacement for Robin van Persie, according to reports in Turkey.

Milliyet note that Fener are eyeing the 31-year-old Milan forward should van Persie complete his mooted move away from Istanbul.

RVP only moved to the Super Lig during the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by Louis van Gaal at United, with the coach instead opting to put his faith in Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial, neither of whom have wholly impressed.

Van Persie is reportedly unhappy with his lot at Fenerbahce, after failing to make the desired impact at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
