Any hopes Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur had of securing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot have been dealt a blow with the news that there is major interest in the player from Italy,

According to Calciomercato [via Le 10 Sport], AC Milan have been alerted by the player’s potential availability and may seek to secure a deal for the player during the January transfer window.

Rabiot admitted recently, in an interview with Telefoot, as per Goal, that he had asked PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi for a loan move away from the club this January.

Rabiot, unhappy with a lack of first-team opportunities at the Parc des Princes, reportedly requested a temporary spell away from the French capital, although considering the midfielder’s recent presence in the starting XI, it remains to be seen whether he’s still keen for an exit.

The player’s request is understood to have reignited the attentions of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur [Independent], both of whom have been linked with a move for the player in recent weeks and months.
