Former Chelsea star uploads awkward bed selfie on eve of big date with Man United

Manchester United pretty much have to beat Wolfsburg in Germany tonight or they will almost certainly be knocked out of the Champions League.

The match is very important for Wolfsburg too, so they will be playing their strongest team. That means that former Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle is a probable starter.

Schurrle, who scored twice as his side beat CSKA Moscow in their last European encounter, should be nicely rested for the big game.

The 25-year-old was in bed by 7pm UK time last night.

For reasons only known to him, Schurrle decided to document his early lie-down on Instagram.

In the photo, which you can ‘enjoy’ below , Schurrle is seen staring down the lens, looking rather sad.

You can’t help but stare back at him. Well, I can’t anyway. It’s a tad awkward.
