[Video] Benzema grabs goal for Real Madrid v Malmo, appearing unaffected by sex tape scandal

Karim Benzema has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently, but looks totally unphased by it all when taking to the pitch with Real Madrid. The Frenchman grabbed the opening goal for Real Madrid against Malmo in their final Champions League group stage game of the season, looking totally unaffected by the Mathieu Valbuena sex-tape scandal he’s been involved in recently (via the Mirror).

Real Madrid were predictably dominating right from the off, and it looked like there was only ever going to be one winner. It was actually surprising that we had to wait 12 whole minutes for a goal, but the deadlock was eventually broken.

Cristiano Ronldo wasn’t looking quite at his best, and spurned a couple of chances of his own. But he came close to providing one for his teammates, with some fancy footwork and a turn of pace allowing him to whip a dangerous looking cross in from the left. Isco was there to meet it, and his first time shot looked destined for the back of the net. There was a moment of hope for Malbo as it was cleared off the line, but it fell straight to Benzema, who lashed it past keeper and defender to make it 1-0.

Check out the goal below:

The 27-year-old looks in fine form despite everything going on in his personal life, and managed to bag his second of the game shortly after. Ronaldo got his assist this time around, with his cross headed in superbly by the Los Blancos No.9.

This game looks like it has plenty more goals in it, and a Benzema hat-trick is certainly on the cards.
