Tottenham Predicted XI vs. AS Monaco: Attacking star could make long-awaited return

Posted by

Tottenham Hotspur have already guaranteed their progression to the knockout stages of the Europa League, but they will be hoping to round off their group-stage campaign with a win against AS Monaco at White Hart Lane.

Spurs have been flying high in the Premier League recently and, as has been well documented, the Lilywhites have not lost in the division since the opening day.

They’ve found the going tougher in the Europa League—they were defeated by Anderlecht—and Mauricio Pochettino will surely be desperate to avoid another loss in Europe’s B competition.

However, with the intense festive period on the horizon, will the Argentine coach look to reshuffle the pack?

He will be delighted to welcome back Nacer Chadli, who has been absent since suffering an ankle injury in the 0-0 draw against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool [Standard].

With the side increasingly reliant on Harry Kane for goals, the return of Chadli will be welcomed at WHL.

Of equal importance, perhaps, is the return of Nabil Bentaleb, who may well return to the starting XI following injuries to Mousa Dembele and Ryan Mason.

Bentaleb—all tenacity and dynamism—could prove vital over the testing weeks and months to come.
