Arsenal given green light to wrap up Isco move in January

Arsenal have been given the go ahead to make an approach for Real Madrid playmaker Isco after learning that they are ready to sell the player, according to French publication BuzzSport.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old several times in the recent past, but have been keeping a particularly close eye on his situation this term.

Having lost the influential Santi Cazorla to injury for a considerable chunk of the campaign, landing Isco’s signature could prove crucial as the Gunners look to remain competitive in both the Premier League title race and the Champions League.

Real have been vastly under performing this term, and as such have a desire to undergo somewhat of a rebuilding project in the new year, and are now open to allowing Isco to move on.

However, the report states that Real will look for a fee of around £36million in order to reinvest in the squad.
