Friday’s biggest Man United news and transfer rumour gossip.

Manchester United are believed to be lining up separate bids for Real Madrid mega stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, as well as a move for Barcelona forward Neymar, according to The Times.

Manager Louis van Gaal will be given a substantial amount of money for new transfers next year, though it is unlikely that moves for all three players will be put into practice in January.

Ronaldo has been heavily linked with an exit from the Bernabeu amid rumours that he is unhappy in the Spanish capital, and United have been among the frontrunners to snap him up.

Bale has been linked with a move to United since the summer, but has so far only moved to reiterate his desire to stay with Madrid, while Neymar has been tipped to leave Barcelona following ongoing investigations into his tax payments.

United will also make Everton youngster John Stones the world’s most expensive defender by launching a stunning £50m bid for his services, according to the Daily Star.

Stones had been the subject of a series of big money bids from Chelsea over the summer, but the Toffees rejected everything that came their way.

The England international has carried on from where he left off, but more moves are expected in the new year, and United have targeted him as the ideal man to plug the holes in their defence as well as growing into a future star at Old Trafford.

Red Devils skipper Wayne Rooney could be on his way to China after league officials have drawn up a massive £75million contract to prize him away from Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mail.

The Chinese Super League want to bring the England captain on board as a poster boy for football in the country and will offer him an exorbitant amount of money to do so, as well as giving him the chance to link up with former England boss Sven Goran Eriksen at Shanghai SIPG.

However, Rooney still has three years remaining on his deal with United, and though they are prepared to wait for that deal to expire, they would prefer to bring him on board sooner rather than later.

United assistant boss Ryan Giggs would reportedly be open to leaving the club to take up the vacant manager’s job at Swansea, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Swans gave Garry Monk his marching orders on Monday after seeing his side slump to 15th in the Premier League table, and are now on the hunt for a replacement.

Giggs was being lined up as Louis van Gaal’s replacement when his contract expires in 2017, but the former winger is apparently keen to cut his teeth elsewhere in the interim.

Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been banned for three matches after accepting a violent conduct charge from The FA for an elbow on West Ham’s Winston Reid, the Daily Mirror reports.

The 31-year-old will now miss the upcoming clashes with Bournemouth, Norwich and Stoke.
